Only a week or so to go! Here’s a prompt to keep you writing:
Today’s Prompt

Write a poem in any form that responds to the cards Window, Music, and Flight.
The Navigation Card asks you to emulate the musicality of a song you love. Music and poetry have a rich history, down to the very word “lyric,” whose root is both the Ancient Greek lyre and the poems set to the instrument. More contemporarily, the Beat Poets wrote poems that were as improvisational as the Jazz music that inspired them, and rap music has at least a couple of roots in the poetry of the Black Arts Movement.
