April 7, 2026: Crowd, Music, Window

We are officially one week into April! Hopefully you have at least a couple of first drafts by now? Feel free to send any of them our way—we love to read them!

Onto the prompt…

Today’s Prompt

Write a single stanza poem (of any length) incorporating the ideas of Crowd, Music, and Window. What do you see or hear when looking out towards a busy city street? What do you wish was outside of your window? Where lies the object of your longing?

(A single stanza poem can be a great way to juxtapose many disparate elements together—not unlike a busy city street.)
